Our History
The LOVING Companies, aka LOVING, was founded in 2003 by Founder and CEO, Mike Haynes. As a middle schooler in the late 90’s, Mike began mowing lawns primarily for friends and neighbors. Upon graduating High School in 2003, Mike dove head first into entrepreneurship by launching what is now known as LOVING.
In the early days, LOVING focused primarily on Landscape Services in the Charlotte, North Carolina region. Since that time, LOVING has expanded its Landscape Division throughout the Carolinas with custom design and build, landscape installation, irrigation, hardscape installation, and lawn maintenance.
Beyond landscaping, LOVING has rapidly become one of the largest sod suppliers in the United States through NextDaySod.com, a member of the LOVING family of companies. NextDaySod.com serves landscapers and homeowners (DIYers) alike.
In 2024, LOVING launched its proprietary software, NXXT, to streamline its farming operations with logistics while incorporating real-time tracking for customers. This technology will serve as the foundation for growth well into the future.
